Plot:

The story of Crazy Fellow revolves around Abhiram, affectionately nicknamed Nani, an energetic, unabashedly flamboyant, and irresponsible young man living in Hyderabad. Having lost his parents at an early age, Abhiram was raised by his affectionate elder brother and indulgent sister-in-law, who treat him with unconditional pampering akin to their own son. While loved dearly at home, Abhiram's self-centered tendencies, hyperactive quirks, and impulsive decision-making earn him a reputation as an eccentric nuisance among neighbors and acquaintances. Growing concerned that his younger brother will squander his youth without direction or practical accountability, Abhiram’s brother puts his foot down and arranges an entry-level employment position for him at a prominent software design company, hoping workplace discipline will finally instill maturity into his erratic lifestyle.

Abhiram’s entry into the corporate workforce is immediately tempestuous. From his very first day at the office, he clashes aggressively with Madhumitha, commonly called Madhu, a diligent, sharp-witted, and no-nonsense colleague who values order, punctuality, and professional decorum. Madhu finds Abhiram’s boastful swagger, playful workplace pranks, and complete disregard for deadlines insufferable, leading to constant petty squabbles, sarcastic verbal duels, and mutual complaints to human resources. Frustrated by the constraints of his daily routine and the friction with Madhu, Abhiram signs up for an anonymous mobile dating and messaging platform to blow off steam, adopting the screen moniker "Nani" without revealing his photograph or real-world credentials.

Coincidentally, Madhumitha is also active on the exact same dating platform under the pseudonym "Chinni," using the application to vent her frustrations about her obnoxious new office colleague. Unaware of each other’s physical identities behind the digital screens, Nani and Chinni begin exchanging text messages, sharing philosophical musings on life, family heartaches, and daily workplace tribulations. Over weeks of late-night digital conversations, their mutual empathy deepens into genuine emotional intimacy. Abhiram finds himself falling completely head-over-heels for the sensitive, perceptive woman on the phone, while Madhu is charmed by Nani's surprising emotional vulnerability, humor, and warmth—qualities she fails to notice in her irritating desk neighbor Abhiram.

The romantic tension escalates into a full-scale comedy of errors when the digital sweethearts decide it is finally time to meet in person at an upscale coffee lounge to reveal their real identities and take their relationship forward. However, fate orchestrates a catastrophic mix-up. Just before Abhiram arrives at the rendezvous spot, another young woman named Chinni, who happens to share the exact same nickname and is sitting at the designated meeting corner, unwittingly catches Abhiram's attention. Operating on incomplete clues and visual assumptions, Abhiram mistakes this new Chinni for his anonymous soulmate. In an impulsive burst of theatrical romance, Abhiram openly professes his undying love and devotion to her on the spot, catching the real-world Chinni off guard while Madhumitha, watching the bizarre scene unfold from a distance, feels devastated and bitterly betrayed, believing Nani played a cruel practical joke on her.

The narrative shifts into high-gear situational chaos as Abhiram begins aggressively pursuing the new Chinni, striving to win over her family and establish a conventional courtship, while wondering why his phone chats with his digital lover suddenly turned frosty and accusatory. Simultaneously, the office dynamics between Abhiram and Madhu deteriorate further into bitter cold wars, even as subtle clues begin to surface that something in the timeline does not compute. Abhiram’s loyal yet bumbling confidants and coworkers, alongside his supportive sister-in-law, attempt to help him navigate his convoluted romantic knot, resulting in a series of hilarious cover-ups, near-miss encounters, and misdirected phone calls that threaten to expose his blunders to both women at the same time.

As the wedding talks between Abhiram and the mistaken Chinni begin moving rapidly under family pressure, Abhiram is struck by an gnawing internal dilemma: while the real-world Chinni is pleasant and accommodating, she completely lacks the fiery intellect, emotional resonance, and shared memories of the woman he fell in love with over the phone. During an accidental office inspection involving an internal project folder, Abhiram stumbles upon private handwriting samples and personal references that belong unmistakably to Madhu. The realization strikes him like a thunderbolt: his digital soulmate Chinni and his office arch-nemesis Madhumitha are the very same person, and his impulsive coffee-shop proposal was an utter blunder born of his own hasty assumptions.

Determined to right his wrongs and win back the true love of his life, Abhiram faces the monumental task of disentangling the mess without shattering multiple families' reputations. In the climactic sequence, Abhiram arrives at a crucial family gathering, where he courageously owns up to his eccentricities, apologizes to the second Chinni for the honest confusion, and delivers a heartfelt, unvarnished confession to Madhu in front of both households. Stripping away his superficial arrogance, he proves that despite his crazy antics, his love for Madhu’s authentic soul is genuine and enduring. Moved by his sincere remorse, growth, and heartfelt apology, Madhu forgives him and reciprocates his affection. The film concludes on an endearing, celebratory note as Abhiram and Madhumitha unite, proving that true compatibility can blossom even amidst the wildest misunderstandings.
