Jagan, son of a businessman, falls for Sunanda, the daughter of a business rival. Although their marriage is fixed, the rivalry remains. The situation worsens due to the involvement of a corrupt MLA.

Jagan "Chinna" is the seemingly carefree and jobless son of Lion Rajendra, a respected and ethical industrialist. Sunanda is the beautiful and spirited daughter of Raghunath, a businessman who is Rajendra's primary competitor. Jagan and Sunanda meet and fall in love, unaware of their families' longstanding feud. Jagan, despite his lack of a job, is kind and resourceful, while Sunanda is strong-willed and values her independence. Their initial interactions are filled with playful banter and romantic moments, as they navigate their burgeoning relationship.

Jagan believes that his father and Raghunath should end their rivalry and work together for mutual benefit. He proposes a business partnership between them, hoping to improve efficiency and reduce the cutthroat competition. His suggestion is well-intentioned, aimed at fostering harmony between the two families.

In a surprising turn of events, Jagan's family arranges his marriage. Unbeknownst to him, the bride-to-be is Sunanda. While Jagan is happy about this development, the situation is complicated by the fact that the families, despite agreeing to the marriage, still harbor ill feelings towards each other. The marriage is seen as a business arrangement as much as a union of two individuals.

The plot thickens with the introduction of Bonala Shankar, a corrupt and powerful local MLA. Shankar is involved in illegal activities, particularly the tobacco business, and wields considerable influence. Raghunath, Sunanda's father, is indirectly involved in Shankar's operations, which creates a conflict with Rajendra's ethical business practices. Rajendra is unwilling to engage in any dealings with Bonala Shankar or his illicit businesses. This principled stance puts him and his family at odds with the ruthless MLA. Shankar, accustomed to getting his way, begins to threaten Rajendra and his business interests. He attempts to use his political power and influence to intimidate Rajendra and force him into submission.

When Rajendra's health deteriorates due to the stress caused by Bonala Shankar, Jagan decides to step up and protect his family. He sheds his image of a laid-back young man and takes on the responsibility of confronting the corrupt MLA. Jagan understands the gravity of the situation and the threat Shankar poses to his family's well-being. Jagan devises a plan to expose Shankar's illegal activities and bring him down. He uses his intelligence and strategic thinking to outmaneuver the MLA, employing tactics that are both clever and daring. Jagan's approach is not through brute force but through strategic manipulation of information and public perception.

Jagan starts a rumor that he physically assaulted Bonala Shankar. This rumor spreads like wildfire, damaging Shankar's reputation and political standing. The public begins to turn against Shankar, and his authority is undermined. Jagan's strategy works. Shankar, who is used to being feared and obeyed, finds himself losing control over the situation. The rumor creates chaos in his political circle and among his followers. His enemies see this as an opportunity to move against him.

The film reaches its climax as Jagan's plan unfolds. Shankar, desperate to salvage his reputation and power, tries to retaliate. This leads to a confrontation between Jagan and Shankar, where Jagan's wit and courage are tested. In the end, Jagan successfully exposes Shankar's corruption, leading to his downfall. Shankar's illegal activities are brought to light, and he faces the consequences of his actions. Jagan not only protects his father and family but also helps to clean up the corrupt system.

With the main conflict resolved, the film concludes on a positive note. The animosity between the two families lessens, paving the way for a more harmonious relationship. Jagan and Sunanda's love story reaches its culmination, and their marriage signifies the union of the two families. Jagan proves his worth, transforming from a seemingly aimless young man into a responsible and heroic figure.
