ANGRY BIRDS (2016)

Summary:

On an island populated by happy, flightless birds, Red, a bird with a temper problem, Chuck, a speedy bird, and Bomb, a bird who explodes when startled, have always been outsiders. When mysterious green pigs visit the island, it's up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to and protect their home.

The film explores themes of acceptance, the power of embracing one's unique qualities, and how even anger can be channeled for good. It's a vibrant animated adventure based on the popular video game franchise.

Plot:

Red, an ostracized bird on Bird Island due to his chronic anger, is sentenced to anger management class, where he meets the hyperactive Chuck and the volatile Bomb. Their peaceful existence is disrupted by the arrival of green pigs, led by the charismatic Leonard. While most birds welcome the pigs, Red remains suspicious, especially after the pigs' boat is revealed to be full of advanced machinery.

Red, Chuck, and Bomb try to warn the other birds, but their concerns are dismissed. During a large party hosted by the pigs, the pigs secretly raid the village and steal all the birds' unhatched eggs. Enraged, Red rallies the birds, who, having lost their eggs, finally believe him. They construct a giant slingshot and launch themselves towards Piggy Island, the pigs' home, to retrieve their precious eggs. A chaotic battle ensues as the birds use their unique abilities to destroy the pigs' city and reclaim their stolen offspring. Red ultimately becomes a hero, embraced by the community he once felt alienated from.
