Summary:

Veera Raghava Reddy, the scion of a warring faction family in Rayalaseema, returns from London only to witness his father's brutal murder in a long-standing village feud. Though initially driven by vengeance, he soon realizes that violence is a never-ending cycle. Guided by his grandmother and the calm influence of Aravinda, an anthropologist, Raghava decides to abandon the path of bloodshed and seek peace, even as the rival faction, led by the ruthless Basi Reddy, relentlessly pursues him. The film chronicles his journey to break the 30-year cycle of violence and bring peace to his village.

Detailed Plot (Movie Story):

The film is set in the faction-ridden region of Rayalaseema, Andhra Pradesh, specifically focusing on a brutal 30-year-long feud between two rival villages, Kommaddi, led by Narappa Reddy (Naga Babu), and Nallagudi, led by Basi Reddy (Jagapathi Babu). The conflict, rooted in a trivial incident of Rs. 5 over a card game decades ago, has claimed countless lives and devastated families on both sides.

Veera Raghava Reddy (N. T. Rama Rao Jr.) returns to Kommaddi after 12 years of studying in London, hoping to settle down and lead a peaceful life. However, on his way home from the railway station, his father Narappa Reddy and his uncle are ambushed and brutally murdered by Basi Reddy's men. Witnessing this horrifying act, Raghava transforms into a furious, bloodthirsty warrior. He single-handedly retaliates, slaughtering Basi Reddy's henchmen and critically injuring Basi Reddy, leaving him for dead.

Raghava returns home with the bodies of his father and uncle, leading to a grief-stricken scene that showcases his raw emotion and inner turmoil. His grandmother, Jeji (Supriya Pathak), and the wife of his slain henchman, Nagamani, urge him to stop the cycle of violence, reminding him of the endless bloodshed and the toll it takes on their families.

Realizing that violence only begets more violence, Raghava decides to leave for Hyderabad, hoping that his absence will pacify the factions and bring a temporary halt to the fighting. In Hyderabad, he befriends Neelambari (Sunil), a local mechanic. During his stay, he unexpectedly crosses paths with Aravinda (Pooja Hegde), an anthropologist and documentary filmmaker, whom he rescues from goons.

Aravinda, who believes in peaceful resolutions, inadvertently begins to influence Raghava's outlook. She encourages him to find non-violent solutions to problems, becoming a moral compass for him. Meanwhile, Basi Reddy, who survived Raghava's attack, recovers and instructs his son, Bala Reddy (Naveen Chandra), to hunt down Raghava and continue the feud.

Raghava shares his life experiences, inspired by the factionalism, with Aravinda's younger brother, who writes a story about it. This story gets published in a school periodical and is eventually read by Basi Reddy, who realizes it's about Raghava. Basi Reddy's men attempt to kidnap Aravinda's brother to lure Raghava out, but Raghava foils their attempt without resorting to lethal force. This confirms for him that Basi Reddy is still alive.

The conflict escalates when Bala Reddy kidnaps Aravinda. Raghava rescues her and, in a powerful phone call, threatens Bala Reddy, reiterating his commitment to peace but showing he's still capable of extreme violence if provoked. He then explains his past to Aravinda and her family, solidifying their bond.

Aravinda, intrigued by Raghava's story and determined to understand the factionalism, decides to travel to Kommaddi with Neelambari to make a documentary. She witnesses the devastation firsthand and understands Raghava's burden. She openly confesses her love for him.

In a climactic confrontation, Raghava attends a meeting with Bala Reddy and various ministers, attempting to broker peace. However, Bala Reddy refuses to back down. Basi Reddy eventually confronts Raghava in an open field. In a shocking twist, Basi Reddy reveals that he himself killed Bala Reddy because his son was trying to broker peace and end the feud, which Basi Reddy could not tolerate as it meant losing his identity as a faction leader. Basi Reddy slashes Aravinda's arm and stabs Neelambari, trying to provoke Raghava into another fight. Raghava, however, keeps dodging, refusing to ignite further violence.

Ultimately, Raghava confesses to Basi Reddy's wife that he murdered Basi Reddy to end the cycle. Overwhelmed by her son's death at her husband's hands, Basi Reddy's wife strategically reports to the police that her husband killed their son and fled, effectively ending the feud. Raghava then nominates her to contest as an MLA, which she wins unopposed, ensuring a new era of peace for the villages.
