Plot:

The emotional core of Ammammagarillu is the fractured relationship within a once-large, close-knit family, a family now separated by pride, ego, and a pending Batwara (division) case concerning their ancestral land. Seetha Mahalakshmi, the aging matriarch of the family, lives a lonely life in the vast, beautiful ancestral home, heartbroken by the silence and separation of her children and grandchildren.

Her grandson, Santosh (Naga Shaurya), who is deeply attached to her and the memories of the united family, cannot bear to see his grandmother in this state. He decides to take matters into his own hands, formulating a plan to secretly mend the broken ties. Santosh moves into the ancestral house on the pretext of settling down and starting a new life close to his grandmother.

Once there, Santosh meets his cousin, Sita (Shamna Kasim, credited as Poorna), the daughter of the most influential and stubborn of his uncles, who also happens to be deeply involved in the property dispute. Santosh starts his mission subtly, using his charm, wit, and genuinely loving nature to interact with all the distant family members. He employs various strategies, including emotional appeals and cleverly orchestrated events, to remind them of the joyful past they shared under the roof of "Ammammagarillu."

The primary conflict arises from the ongoing legal dispute over the property division, which has hardened the hearts of his uncles and aunts. Santosh understands that he must resolve this financial and legal issue to achieve true emotional reconciliation. He not only focuses on his immediate family but also addresses the issues faced by his grandmother's younger sister's family, who also feel slighted and separated.

Midway through the film, a significant emotional turning point occurs when the grandmother, Seetha Mahalakshmi, falls gravely ill. This crisis forces all the estranged family members to rush back to the ancestral home, temporarily setting aside their differences for the sake of the matriarch. This period allows Santosh's efforts to truly resonate, as the family is forced to coexist and confront the emptiness their separation created.
