Plot:

Five years after the events where he successfully evaded capture and established himself as a formidable criminal overlord, Don (Shah Rukh Khan) has solidified his position as the undisputed king of the Asian drug cartel. The film opens in Thailand, where Don orchestrates a daring operation to eliminate his rivals in the European drug trade, asserting his dominance and paving the way for his expansion into the continent. His ambition, however, catches the attention of Interpol, particularly Agent Roma (Priyanka Chopra), who has now ascended to a high-ranking position within the agency, and Inspector Malik (Om Puri), both still haunted by Don's elusive nature. Don is eventually cornered and arrested in Malaysia, a seemingly predictable turn of events for such a notorious criminal. He is sentenced to prison, where he encounters an old adversary, Vardhaan (Boman Irani), whom he had betrayed in the past. In a surprising move, Don helps Vardhaan escape from prison, forming an uneasy alliance based on mutual benefit rather than trust. Don reveals his ultimate goal: to rob the Deutsche Zentralbank in Berlin, Germany, and steal the highly coveted printing plates for the European currency.

Their journey takes them to Berlin, where Don begins to assemble his team for the audacious heist. He recruits Sameer Ali (Kunal Kapoor), a brilliant hacker and security system expert, and J.K., a technician. Don's plan is not merely to steal the existing plates, but to acquire *new* plates that are yet to be put into circulation, allowing him to print billions in untraceable counterfeit euros. The bank is a fortress, protected by state-of-the-art security systems, making the heist seem impossible to anyone but Don. Meanwhile, Roma and Malik are also in Berlin, hot on Don's trail, convinced that his presence in the city signifies a major criminal undertaking. Roma, driven by a personal vendetta and professional duty, is determined to finally bring Don to justice, though her complicated history with him, including a brief period of believing he was her lover, complicates her resolve. Don, ever the manipulator, uses his charm and wit to navigate the dangerous landscape, constantly aware of the net tightening around him.

Don meticulously plans the infiltration of the Deutsche Zentralbank. He uses a series of elaborate diversions and psychological tactics to bypass security, including staging a public disturbance to draw attention away from his true objective. His team, under his precise instructions, disables key surveillance systems and prepares for the final breach. During the heist, Don uses a specialized gas to incapacitate the bank employees and guards, allowing him access to the vault. He retrieves the printing plates, but as he makes his escape, Vardhaan, true to his treacherous nature, attempts to double-cross Don, trying to kill him and claim the plates for himself. Don, however, anticipates this betrayal, having always been one step ahead. He escapes Vardhaan's trap, leaving him and Sameer to be captured by the arriving Interpol agents, having ingeniously planted evidence to frame them for the heist. Don then contacts Interpol, demanding the release of his "team" (Vardhaan and Sameer) in exchange for the plates and the safety of the hostages he has taken within the bank, including the bank's director, Diwan (Nawab Shah).

The situation escalates into a tense standoff, with Roma forced to negotiate directly with Don. She is torn between her duty and her lingering, complex feelings for him. Don, still holding hostages, demands a safe passage for himself and his "team" out of Germany. During the negotiations, Don reveals the true genius of his plan. He didn't steal the original plates, but rather a set of *new* plates he had secretly commissioned and designed, which were to be introduced into circulation shortly. The plates he "stole" from the bank were a decoy, and the real plates were already in his possession, ready to print billions in counterfeit currency. His entire operation, from his arrest to his alliance with Vardhaan and the bank heist, was an elaborate charade to acquire the new plates and simultaneously eliminate his rivals and frame them. With his objective achieved and his escape route meticulously planned, Don makes a spectacular exit from the bank, using a parachute to descend from the rooftop amidst a public parade, blending seamlessly into the crowd and disappearing into the night, leaving Interpol and Roma completely bewildered.

In the aftermath, Vardhaan and Sameer are left to face the consequences of Don's manipulations. Roma is left to grapple with Don's cunning and the realization that she was merely a pawn in his grand scheme, yet also acknowledging a strange admiration for his genius. The film concludes with Don successfully printing billions of counterfeit euros, having achieved his goal of becoming the most powerful criminal in Europe. He sends a final, cryptic message to Roma, solidifying his status as an untouchable criminal mastermind who thrives on the challenge of outsmarting everyone. Don 2 reaffirms Don's legendary status, showcasing his unparalleled intellect, his ability to anticipate every move, and his unwavering commitment to his own brand of justice and ambition, leaving audiences to wonder about his next audacious move and the true depth of his connection with Roma.
