Loukyam is a 2014 Telugu-language action comedy film directed by Sriwass.

The film stars Gopichand and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead roles, with Brahmanandam, Mukesh Rishi, Sampath Raj, and Rahul Dev playing key supporting roles.

Here's a quick summary of the plot:

Venky (Gopichand) helps his friend elope with the sister of a local crime lord, Babji (Sampath Raj). This leads to a conflict with Babji, and Venky ends up in Hyderabad, where he falls in love with Chandrakala (Rakul Preet Singh), who happens to be the sister of another don. The film combines action and comedy as Venky navigates these complicated situations.

The film was well-received by audiences and was a commercial success. It was also dubbed into Hindi as Ek Khiladi.

Plot:

Venkateswarlu, or Venky, is a young man who values his friends above everything else. The film begins with Venky helping his best friend elope with Neetu, who is the sister of a dangerous and influential crime lord named Babji from Warangal. Neetu is being forced into a marriage with Bharath against her will, and Venky steps in to help her escape this fate.

This act puts Venky in direct conflict with Babji, who is enraged by this defiance and vows to hunt down Venky. To escape Babji's wrath, Venky is forced to flee from Warangal and seek refuge in Hyderabad. While on the run, Venky stays with his friend, Shyamala. Meanwhile, Venky's father Puppy, disapproves of Venky's actions and kicks him out.

In Hyderabad, Venky's life takes a turn when he encounters Chandrakala, also known as Chandu. Chandu is a college student, who is as beautiful as she is strong-willed. She is also the sister of Sathya, a powerful don in Hyderabad. Venky finds himself immediately drawn to her, and despite knowing the potential dangers of becoming involved with the sister of another gangster, he falls deeply in love with her.

Chandu, however, is not easily swayed. Initially, she dismisses Venky's advances and makes it clear that she is not interested in a romantic relationship with him. She even uses her brother Sathya's influence to rag other students in the college. Despite the initial rejection, Venky persists in his pursuit, determined to win her over.

As the story progresses, parallel tracks of the two main villains are shown. Babji starts searching for Venky. His investigation leads him to Sippy, a taxi driver who assisted Venky in helping Neetu elope. Babji captures Sippy and uses him to try and find Venky. On the other hand, Keshava Reddy is an MLA who seeks to kill Chandrakala. It is slowly revealed to Venky the history of these people.

Meanwhile, a hilarious series of events take place as Babji, unaware of who his driver is, ends up traveling around Hyderabad with Sippy in his taxi. This leads to a lot of comic situations, including an encounter with a struggling television actor named "Boiling Star" Bablu. These comedic interludes provide a much-needed break from the more intense and dangerous aspects of the story.

Eventually, Chandu begins to reciprocate Venky's feelings, and the two start developing a genuine connection. However, their blossoming romance is complicated when Venky discovers the truth about Chandu's identity.

Venky learns that Chandu is not just the sister of a don, but also Babji's younger sister. She has been sent to Hyderabad by Babji and Sathya to maintain a low profile and stay safe from their enemies. This revelation puts Venky in a very difficult position. He finds himself caught between two dangerous and powerful families, both of whom are now aware of his existence.

The plot thickens when Venky uncovers the reason why Keshava Reddy wants to kill Chandrakala. He learns that Kesava Reddy's younger sister, Vasanthi, had committed suicide because she loved Babji, but he did not reciprocate her feelings. Keshava Reddy blames Babji for her death and seeks revenge by targeting his sister.

As circumstances escalate, Babji finds out that Chandu is in a relationship. With the help of Nano Shastri, Venky gets Babji and Chandrakala into the same place. Venky makes desperate attempts to make Chandrakala, Babji and Sathya understand. He even hires Sippy's wife, Hamsa Sippy, to act as his father's (Meka Papa Rao aka Puppy) wife to deceive them.

A complex plan is set in motion by Venky. On the day of Neetu's engagement to her brother, she returns as per Venky's plan. It is then revealed that she is pregnant. Her finance, Bharat, refuses to marry her because of this, and Venky manipulates the situation by revealing that the same brother who helped Neetu elope (who is acting as Venky's brother in this drama) will marry Neetu.

While all this is happening, Babji, in turn, tells Chandrakala that she will marry Bharath. Due to an attack, it is revealed that Bharat is actually Kesava Reddy's son. Venky takes advantage of this and tells Kesava Reddy that Babji knows Bharat is his son and plans to kill him. Kesava Reddy believes this and sets out to attack Babji. He also reveals his reasons for trying to kill Chandrakala.

Kesava Reddy kidnaps Chandrakala and Bharat. Bablu tries to stop him, mistaking the situation for a film shoot. This buys Venky enough time to reach Kesava Reddy and confront him.

In a clever move, Venky uses Babji's earlier sympathy to his advantage. He manages to convince Babji to let go of his old grudges and to accept his sisters' choices. He persuades Babji that love and family are more important than vengeance and power. Finally, Venky manages to get Babji's blessing to marry Chandrakala, resolving the conflict between the two families.
