Summary:

Enchanted is a whimsical fantasy musical that cleverly blends traditional Disney animation with live-action filmmaking. Plot:

Giselle, a beautiful young woman in the animated world of Andalasia, dreams of finding her true love and experiencing a "happily ever after." She falls for Prince Edward, but his stepmother, the wicked Queen Narissa, fears losing her throne. On the day of Giselle's wedding, Narissa pushes her down a magical well, transporting her to a place where there are no happy ever afters: live-action New York City. Giselle, still in her wedding gown, struggles to comprehend this new, gritty reality, where animals don't talk and people are less than welcoming.

She is eventually found by Robert Philip, a cynical divorce lawyer and single father, who reluctantly takes her in. Giselle's innocent, fairytale perspective and spontaneous musical numbers clash hilariously with Robert's pragmatic view of the world, but her genuine kindness and unwavering optimism begin to soften his hardened heart and charm his young daughter, Morgan. Meanwhile, Prince Edward, accompanied by Giselle's chipmunk friend Pip, travels to New York to rescue her, while Narissa dispatches her bumbling henchman Nathaniel to prevent Giselle from kissing Edward before midnight, which would make her queen and solidify Narissa's banishment from Andalasia.

As Giselle spends more time with Robert, she develops real feelings for him, realizing that true love might be more complex than the fairytales she grew up with. The film culminates in a grand ball where Giselle must choose between her fairytale prince and the modern man who has shown her a different kind of love. Narissa arrives in New York, transforming into a dragon to retrieve Giselle and exact her revenge, leading to a dramatic confrontation atop a skyscraper, forcing Giselle to become her own hero and save Robert.
