Discription
Gautham, a financially struggling NRI living in the United States, discovers he inherited a sprawling, but dilapidated, palace in India. Hoping to sell the property and resolve his mounting debts, he travels to his ancestral village. However, his arrival coincides with a complex web of criminal activities already in motion. A local politician, Paparayudu, and his henchmen are deeply involved in illegal land grabbing and extortion. They have their eyes on Gautham's palace, recognizing its strategic location and potential for development.
Unbeknownst to Gautham, his return has alerted several other criminal factions. A group of small-time kidnappers, led by a bumbling individual named Phani, sees Gautham as an easy target. They believe he is a wealthy NRI ripe for extortion. Meanwhile, a more sophisticated gang, headed by a shrewd and calculating criminal named Koteswara Rao, also monitors Gautham’s movements, planning to use him as a pawn in their own elaborate scheme.
Gautham's initial attempts to sell the palace are thwarted by Paparayudu's interference. The politician, through his corrupt influence, makes it impossible for Gautham to find legitimate buyers. Just as Gautham begins to despair, Phani's gang kidnaps him, mistaking him for a rich businessman. However, their incompetence quickly becomes apparent, and the kidnapping turns into a series of farcical mishaps.
Koteswara Rao, observing the situation, seizes the opportunity. He intercepts Phani's gang and takes Gautham into his custody. He reveals his plan to use Gautham as leverage against Paparayudu, whom he sees as a rival. Koteswara Rao intends to expose Paparayudu's corrupt dealings and seize control of the local criminal network.
Gautham finds himself caught in the middle of a dangerous power struggle. He is passed back and forth between the various criminal factions, each with their own agenda. He witnesses the inner workings of their operations, the betrayals, and the constant threat of violence. Maya, a local woman who works at a small restaurant near the palace, becomes entangled in the chaos when she tries to help Gautham. She knows the area well, and her knowledge of the local criminals becomes valuable to Gautham.
As the situation escalates, Gautham realizes he must take control of his fate. He uses his intelligence and resourcefulness to manipulate the various factions, playing them against each other. He discovers that Paparayudu has a large sum of black money hidden in the palace, and he uses this information to create further chaos.
Phani's gang, despite their incompetence, remains persistent. They continuously attempt to recapture Gautham, leading to a series of comedic encounters. Koteswara Rao, initially confident in his control of the situation, underestimates Gautham's ability to adapt and strategize.
Gautham manages to expose Paparayudu’s illegal activities to the media and the police, using the information he gathered while being held captive. He also uses the infighting between the criminals to his advantage, setting them against each other. During the chaos, Maya helps Gautham to recover the hidden money, and to evade the criminals.
The climax of the film involves a chaotic showdown at the palace. The police, alerted by the media and Gautham's actions, arrive to apprehend the criminals. A series of confrontations ensue, with Phani's gang, Koteswara Rao's men, and Paparayudu's henchmen clashing with each other and the police.
Gautham, with Maya’s help, successfully retrieves the hidden money and ensures that it is handed over to the authorities. He also provides crucial evidence to the police, leading to the arrest of Paparayudu and his associates. Koteswara Rao’s plans are foiled, and his gang is also apprehended. Phani’s gang, although their attempts are consistently inept, are also taken into custody.
In the end, Gautham clears his name and exposes the criminal network. He decides to stay in India, using the money he recovered to renovate the palace and contribute to the local community. He also starts a relationship with Maya. The film concludes with the criminals facing justice, and Gautham finding a new purpose in life, far removed from his initial plans to simply sell the palace and return to America.
