ENTOURAGE (2015)

Summary:

Hollywood movie star Vincent Chase and his loyal entourage—Eric, Turtle, and Johnny Drama—are back, picking up where the popular HBO series left off. After his short-lived marriage, Vince is ready to make his directorial debut with a big-budget adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's "Hyde." However, the film quickly goes over budget, forcing newly appointed studio head Ari Gold to fly to Texas to secure additional funding from the film's financier and his demanding son.

As the friends navigate the treacherous waters of the film industry, they face personal and professional challenges, testing their bonds and their resolve to stay together in the cutthroat world of Los Angeles.

Plot:

The film opens with Vincent Chase, fresh off his marriage annulment, announcing his desire to direct a major feature film, "Hyde," with Ari Gold as the new head of Warner Bros. Pictures. Six months later, "Hyde" is complete but over budget, requiring an additional $10 million. Ari flies to Austin, Texas, to meet with the film's primary financier, Larsen McCredle, and his son Travis, who insists on seeing the film before releasing more funds. Travis, an aspiring actor, demands a role in "Hyde" for the money, which Ari reluctantly agrees to, much to Vince's dismay.

Meanwhile, Eric is expecting a baby with Sloan but is struggling with commitment issues and a new relationship. Turtle is attempting to launch a tequila business and pursuing Ronda Rousey. Johnny Drama is anxious about his minor role in "Hyde" and the film's reception, hoping it will finally launch his career. The premiere of "Hyde" is a critical success, but Travis McCredle, feeling slighted by his small part, threatens to pull the remaining funding, jeopardizing the film's release. Through a series of frantic negotiations and personal appeals, including an intervention from Larsen McCredle himself, the film is ultimately saved, allowing Vince's directorial vision to be seen by the world and the friends to continue their journey together.
