Plot:

The story introduces Nicky Spurgeon, a highly skilled con artist, who encounters Jess Barrett, a novice but quick-witted grifter, attempting to scam him. Impressed by her potential, Nicky reluctantly agrees to mentor her, teaching her the intricate art of pickpocketing, distraction, and large-scale cons. Their professional partnership quickly evolves into a passionate romantic relationship, but Nicky, adhering to a strict personal rule about not mixing business with pleasure, abruptly ends things after a major successful operation at the Super Bowl, leaving Jess heartbroken.

Three years later, Nicky is in Buenos Aires, orchestrating an elaborate scheme to defraud a billionaire race car owner, Rafael Garriga. To his surprise, he finds Jess there, now a polished and successful con artist herself, seemingly involved with Garriga. Their unexpected reunion reignites old feelings and sparks a dangerous game of cat and mouse, as they navigate their complicated past, present ambitions, and the ever-present threat of betrayal in a world where everyone is trying to outsmart everyone else. The film culminates in a series of twists and double-crosses, blurring the lines of who is truly being conned and exploring whether their love can survive a life built on deceit.
