FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS (2011)
Summary:
Friends With Benefits is a romantic comedy that explores the complexities of a purely physical relationship between two busy professionals who try to avoid the emotional entanglements of traditional dating. Jamie, a New York-based headhunter, recruits Dylan, a Los Angeles art director, for a job at GQ. Both recently single and disillusioned with romance, they decide to embark on a "no strings attached" sexual relationship.
Their arrangement is based on strict rules to prevent emotional attachment, but as they spend more time together, their bond deepens, leading to inevitable complications and a re-evaluation of what they truly want from love and friendship. The film humorously navigates the pitfalls of their unconventional agreement, ultimately questioning whether true friendship and physical intimacy can coexist without leading to deeper feelings.

Plot:
Jamie Rellis, a corporate headhunter in New York City, successfully recruits Dylan Harper, an art director from Los Angeles, for a dream job at GQ magazine. Both are recently out of serious relationships and have grown cynical about love and commitment. After a night out, they spontaneously decide to engage in a purely physical relationship, agreeing to keep it strictly casual with no emotional attachments, drawing up a "no strings attached" pact.
Their arrangement works well for a time, fulfilling their physical needs without the pressures of dating. However, as they spend more time together, sharing personal stories and experiencing life's ups and downs, their platonic friendship deepens alongside their physical intimacy. Complications arise when Jamie tries to date other people, and Dylan's family issues come to light, revealing their growing emotional reliance on each other. The façade of their casual arrangement begins to crack as genuine feelings start to develop, forcing them to confront the unspoken truth about their evolving relationship and whether they can truly remain just friends with benefits.
