Plot:
The film opens with Death Eaters wreaking havoc in both the Muggle and wizarding worlds. Dumbledore retrieves Harry from the Dursleys and takes him to persuade Horace Slughorn, a former Potions master with crucial memories of Tom Riddle, to return to Hogwarts. Back at school, Harry discovers an old Potions textbook filled with advanced spells and annotations by someone calling themselves the "Half-Blood Prince," which helps him excel in Slughorn's class. Dumbledore begins private lessons with Harry, showing him fragmented memories of Tom Riddle's past, revealing his fascination with immortality and the concept of Horcruxes – objects in which a wizard can conceal parts of their soul.
While Harry becomes obsessed with Draco Malfoy's increasingly suspicious behavior, believing him to be a Death Eater on a secret mission, Ron and Hermione grapple with their unspoken feelings amidst various romantic entanglements. Harry uses a love potion from the Half-Blood Prince's book to help Ron, leading to humorous and dramatic consequences. The search for Horcruxes intensifies when Dumbledore and Harry journey to a sea cave, believing it to contain one. After a harrowing ordeal, they retrieve a locket, only for it to be revealed later as a fake. The film reaches its climax when Death Eaters infiltrate Hogwarts, and Snape shockingly kills Dumbledore, revealing himself to be the Half-Blood Prince as he flees with the other Death Eaters. Harry, heartbroken and determined, vows to continue Dumbledore's quest to destroy Voldemort's Horcruxes.
