A set of circumstances makes Vasu, a moneylender, save the life of a policeman, Sivaraman Nayak. But that only leads to Vasu appearing on the radar of a gangster and contract killer, Singana Patrudu.

Vasudevan, affectionately known as Vasu, was born into the opulent world of the Kovai Group, a textile empire in Coimbatore. As the heir, his life seemed destined for prosperity and privilege. However, a cruel twist of fate, a mere misunderstanding, led to his disownment by his mother, Rajalakshmi, the formidable matriarch of their sprawling joint family.

Cast out, Vasu reinvented himself, carving a simple life as a moneylender. He found camaraderie with his loyal friends, Kutti Puli and Pandi, and discovered love in the form of Divya, a wealthy young woman who saw beyond his humble facade. Despite his changed circumstances, Vasu retained a core of decency and courage.

His past and present collided when he intervened at a theatre, saving ASP Sivakkozhundhu and his wife from a brutal attack by North Indian killers. These assailants were in the employ of Anna Thandavam, a notorious Pollachi businessman and hitman. Sivakkozhundhu had been transferred to investigate Anna Thandavam's illicit activities, a move that placed him squarely in the crosshairs.

Adding fuel to the fire, Anna Thandavam sought to seize land intended for a village temple, a plot of land that Vasu's late father, Rathnaswamy, had planned to gift. This brazen act of greed ignited a fierce rivalry between Vasu and Anna Thandavam.

When the land was officially gifted to the temple, Anna Thandavam retaliated, ordering his henchmen to attack Vasu's uncle, Ramaswamy. This act of violence served as a catalyst for Rajalakshmi, who finally recognized the error of her ways. She reconciled with Vasu, embracing him back into the fold of the family.

Vasu, upon learning of the attack, unleashed his fury, brutally thrashing Anna Thandavam's thugs and crippling the crime lord's hand. He then publicly humiliated Anna Thandavam, the brutal scene going viral.

With the aid of Sivakkozhundhu and Divya, Vasu systematically dismantled Anna Thandavam's attempts to destroy his family. He successfully captured the North Indian killers, providing crucial evidence that led to an arrest warrant for Anna Thandavam.

Tragedy struck during the temple festival. Anna Thandavam’s second wife, driven by malice, fatally stabbed Rajalakshmi with a poisoned knife. Simultaneously, Anna Thandavam fled to Patna, seeking refuge from the law.

Consumed by grief and a thirst for vengeance, Vasu embarked on a relentless pursuit of Anna Thandavam. He tracked him down in Patna, along with his accomplice, Rai Bahadur. In a brutal confrontation, Vasu exacted his revenge, eliminating both men and avenging Rajalakshmi's death.

Returning home, Vasu rejoined his family in mourning, the weight of their loss heavy on their hearts. Though he had achieved justice, the pain of Rajalakshmi’s death remained, a somber reminder of the price of vengeance.
