Summary:

Twenty-two years after the catastrophic events at Jurassic Park, Isla Nublar reopens as Jurassic World, a fully functional luxury theme park where genetically engineered dinosaurs are brought to life for public display. The park's new star attraction, the Indominus Rex, is a larger, more intelligent, and genetically modified hybrid dinosaur created to boost attendance. Plot:

The story begins with brothers Zach and Gray Mitchell being sent to Isla Nublar, home of the dinosaur theme park Jurassic World, to visit their aunt, Claire Dearing, the park's operations manager. Claire, a workaholic, is too busy to spend time with them and assigns her assistant, Zara, to look after the boys. Meanwhile, the park's owner, Simon Masrani, visits a new attraction: the Indominus Rex, a genetically engineered hybrid dinosaur created to boost visitor numbers. Masrani expresses concerns about the Indominus's solitary existence and aggressive nature, noting its potential for danger. He advises Claire to have Owen Grady, a former Navy veteran and expert in animal behavior, assess the enclosure for potential vulnerabilities.

Owen Grady, who works on the island training a quartet of Velociraptors—Blue, Charlie, Delta, and Echo—has developed a unique, albeit fragile, bond with them. Vic Hoskins, the head of InGen security, believes Owen's ability to control the raptors has military applications, a notion Owen vehemently rejects. When Owen inspects the Indominus Rex enclosure, he expresses alarm at its intelligence and its ability to camouflage and regulate its body temperature. The Indominus tricks the park staff into believing it has escaped by scratching massive claw marks on a wall. When two workers enter the enclosure to investigate, the Indominus ambushes them, killing one and escaping into the park's restricted areas. Owen warns Claire that the Indominus is not just a dinosaur, but a highly intelligent predator that will kill for sport.

As the Indominus Rex begins its rampage, Masrani attempts to contain the creature, but his efforts prove futile. The hybrid dinosaur systematically disables its tracking implant and targets other dinosaurs, killing several Apatosaurs in a brutal, unnecessary display of power. Unaware of the full extent of the danger, Zach and Gray, having ditched Zara, wander off in a gyrosphere. They soon encounter the Indominus Rex, which attacks their vehicle, forcing them to abandon it and flee on foot through the jungle, narrowly escaping its pursuit. They stumble upon the ruins of the original Jurassic Park visitor center, a poignant reminder of past failures.

Claire realizes her nephews are missing and, consumed by guilt, teams up with Owen to find them. As they search, Masrani, piloting a helicopter, attempts to shoot down the Indominus Rex himself, but the creature breaks into the park's aviary, releasing a swarm of Pteranodons and Dimorphodons. The flying reptiles attack Masrani's helicopter, causing it to crash and kill Masrani. The escaped pterosaurs then descend upon the park's Main Street, causing widespread panic and attacking thousands of tourists. Zara, Claire's assistant, is tragically captured by a Pteranodon, dropped into the Mosasaurus lagoon, and devoured by the giant marine reptile.

With Masrani dead and the park in disarray, Hoskins assumes command, seeing an opportunity to test his theory of weaponized raptors. Against Owen's strong objections, Hoskins orders the raptor squad—Blue, Charlie, Delta, and Echo—to track and kill the Indominus Rex, fitted with head-mounted cameras. Owen reluctantly agrees to lead the mission, hoping to protect his raptors. The raptors track the Indominus deep into the jungle. However, the Indominus, possessing raptor DNA, communicates with the pack, establishing itself as the new alpha. The raptors turn against their human handlers, attacking the InGen soldiers. Charlie is killed in the ensuing firefight.

Owen, Claire, Zach, and Gray, having narrowly escaped the raptors, find themselves hunted by the now-feral pack. Owen manages to re-establish his bond with Blue, the alpha raptor, turning her back to his side. Delta and Echo, still under the influence of the Indominus, are killed during skirmishes with the hybrid. The Indominus corners Owen, Claire, and the boys in the innovation center. In a desperate move, Claire lures the park's veteran Tyrannosaurus Rex, Rexy, from her paddock to Main Street using a flare, hoping to pit the two apex predators against each other.

A colossal battle ensues between the T-Rex and the Indominus Rex on Main Street. The Indominus initially gains the upper hand, but Blue, loyal to Owen, intervenes, attacking the Indominus and giving the T-Rex an opening. The combined assault of the T-Rex and Blue weakens the Indominus. As the Indominus is pushed to the edge of the Mosasaurus lagoon, the massive Mosasaurus suddenly breaches the water, grabs the Indominus Rex, and drags it into the depths, ending its reign of terror. With the Indominus defeated, the T-Rex and Blue acknowledge each other before going their separate ways. The park is destroyed, and the survivors are evacuated from Isla Nublar. Owen and Claire, along with Zach and Gray, are reunited, their relationships strengthened by the ordeal. The future of dinosaur theme parks, and humanity's relationship with genetic engineering, remains uncertain as the T-Rex roars victoriously over the ruins of Jurassic World.
