Plot:

The film opens with a bus journey through a desolate, arid landscape. A diverse group of passengers is on board, each with their own reasons for travel. Among them are Sameer, a seemingly pragmatic businessman; Ritu, a young woman traveling alone; Balbir, a cynical, self-serving man; Rana, a protective and resourceful individual; Raghav and Chhaya, a young couple; and most crucially, a young, innocent girl named Shona, traveling with her grandmother. The journey takes an ominous turn when the bus driver decides to take a shortcut through a deserted route, eventually leading them towards Chandanpur, a village infamous for a terrifying legend. As they approach, the driver and conductor become visibly agitated, whispering about the 'witch of Chandanpur.'

Just as they are about to pass the village, the bus mysteriously breaks down. The driver, terrified, warns the passengers about the curse of Chandanpur – the legend of Kaalo, a witch who was once a beautiful woman but was cruelly burned alive by the villagers centuries ago, unjustly accused of witchcraft. Her dying curse vowed revenge, particularly targeting children, as she believed her own child was snatched from her.
