Plot:
The story of Khuda Kasam unfolds in the idyllic village of Ramnagar, introducing us to Ravi (Govinda), a man of unwavering integrity and simplicity, deeply respected by his community. Ravi lives a content life with his loving wife, Neetu (Mugdha Godse), and their young daughter. He runs a small, honest business, contributing positively to his village. His life is a testament to traditional values and a strong moral compass. However, this peace is short-lived, as the shadow of a powerful and corrupt politician, Satyaprakash (Ashish Sharma), looms large over the region. Satyaprakash, a man driven by greed and an insatiable lust for power, is notorious for exploiting the poor and using his influence to further his nefarious agendas, often involving land grabbing and illegal mining operations.
The conflict ignites when Satyaprakash sets his sights on Ramnagar's ancestral lands, which hold significant mineral deposits. Ravi, along with other villagers, staunchly opposes Satyaprakash's attempts to forcefully acquire their land. Ravi becomes the voice of resistance, organizing the villagers and filing petitions against the politician's illegal activities. This defiance infuriates Satyaprakash, who sees Ravi as a significant obstacle to his ambitions. Unable to bribe or intimidate Ravi, Satyaprakash devises a sinister plan to destroy Ravi's credibility and life. He frames Ravi for a heinous crime – the murder of a local police inspector who was investigating Satyaprakash's illicit dealings. Fabricated evidence and false testimonies are presented, leading to Ravi's arrest and subsequent conviction.
The trial is a sham, orchestrated by Satyaprakash's legal team, ensuring that Ravi is found guilty despite his vehement pleas of innocence. Ravi's family is devastated. Neetu, heartbroken and alone, struggles to cope with the loss and the societal stigma. During Ravi's incarceration, Satyaprakash intensifies his pressure on the villagers, eventually succeeding in seizing their lands. Neetu, in a desperate attempt to prove Ravi's innocence and protect her daughter, uncovers crucial evidence linking Satyaprakash to the real murder. However, before she can present it, she is brutally attacked by Satyaprakash's goons and left for dead, further cementing Ravi's resolve for revenge. His daughter is then taken in by a kind-hearted relative, unaware of the full tragedy that has befallen her parents.
Inside prison, Ravi endures immense suffering, but the memory of his wife's sacrifice and the injustice inflicted upon his family fuels a burning desire for retribution. He makes a solemn oath, "Khuda Kasam" (By God's Oath), that he will not rest until he exposes Satyaprakash and brings him to justice. He spends years in prison, not just serving his sentence, but meticulously planning his revenge. He educates himself, learns about the legal system, and hones his physical and mental strength, transforming from a simple villager into a formidable force. Upon his release, Ravi emerges as a changed man, bearing the scars of his past but armed with a singular purpose.
Ravi begins his mission by meticulously gathering intelligence on Satyaprakash's empire. He adopts a new identity and infiltrates the city's underworld, seeking out those who have also suffered at Satyaprakash's hands. He encounters Inspector Rathi (Mukesh Rishi), an honest police officer who, years ago, had suspected Satyaprakash's involvement in the inspector's murder but lacked sufficient evidence. Ravi shares his story and the evidence Neetu had found, slowly gaining Rathi's trust. Together, they form an unlikely alliance, working to dismantle Satyaprakash's network from within.
Ravi’s plan involves systematically exposing Satyaprakash's illegal activities, disrupting his operations, and turning his own allies against him. He uses his newfound skills in strategy and deception to create chaos within Satyaprakash's organization. He orchestrates events that lead to public scrutiny of Satyaprakash's wealth and power, forcing the politician to make mistakes. A significant turning point comes when Ravi manages to expose Satyaprakash's involvement in a large-scale financial scam, causing a major scandal. This brings Satyaprakash under the radar of higher authorities, but his influence still shields him from direct consequences.
The climax builds towards a dramatic confrontation. Ravi learns that Satyaprakash is planning a major public event to announce his candidacy for a higher political office, a move that would grant him even greater immunity. Ravi sees this as his final opportunity to expose Satyaprakash before a large audience. He manages to infiltrate the event, armed with irrefutable proof of Satyaprakash's crimes, including the original murder he was framed for, and the subsequent attack on Neetu. In a tense sequence, Ravi confronts Satyaprakash on stage, presenting the evidence to the media and the public. Satyaprakash, cornered, attempts to escape, leading to a thrilling chase sequence.
The chase culminates in a brutal hand-to-hand fight between Ravi and Satyaprakash. Ravi, driven by years of pent-up rage and the memory of his lost family, overpowers Satyaprakash. Just as Ravi is about to deliver the final blow, Inspector Rathi intervenes, reminding Ravi that true justice comes through the law, not personal vengeance. Satyaprakash is apprehended, and the evidence presented by Ravi leads to his immediate arrest and conviction on multiple charges. The film concludes with Ravi finding a semblance of peace, having fulfilled his oath. He reunites with his now grown-up daughter, who finally understands the sacrifices her father made. While the scars of the past remain, Ravi finds solace in the fact that justice has been served, and the truth has finally prevailed, ensuring that no one else would suffer the fate his family did.
