In Goa, a blind pianist named Arun encounters Sophie while looking to buy her piano. He offers to play it at her father’s restaurant, and as they spend time together, they develop a romantic relationship. However, it’s revealed that Arun is actually faking his blindness to enhance his musical focus and avoid distractions. Meanwhile, Mohan, a retired actor with a new young wife named Simran and a grown daughter named Pavitra, is impressed by Arun’s performance and hires him for a surprise private concert for their wedding anniversary.
Mohan lies to Simran about being in Bangalore, planning to surprise her. The following day, when Arun visits their apartment, Simran tells him Mohan isn’t home but invites him in, fearing the watchful eye of their neighbor, Mrs. D'Souza. As Arun plays the piano for her, he unexpectedly sees Mohan’s corpse on the floor and discovers Simran’s lover, Bobby, hiding in the bathroom. Arun pretends not to know what’s happening while Simran and Bobby dispose of Mohan's body. Arun learns that Mohan was murdered after catching Simran and Bobby in their affair.
After leaving, Arun tries to report the crime but finds out that Bobby is a cop. Conflicted about what to do, especially regarding Sophie, Arun attends Mohan’s memorial and learns from Mrs. D'Souza that she has seen Bobby visiting Simran. Soon after, Mrs. D'Souza is mysteriously pushed off a balcony, and the police conclude it was an accident, despite Arun witnessing the incident.
Arun plans to confide in Sophie, but unbeknownst to him, a neighbor’s son films him to prove he isn’t blind. Simran visits him with offerings from a prayer she held for Mohan, testing him. When Arun accidentally drops a cup of coffee laced with poison, Simran threatens him, forcing him to reveal his charade. She confesses her love for Mohan but blames her affair with Bobby for her actions. After Arun collapses from the poison, Sophie arrives, sees the video, and mistakenly believes Arun is having an affair with Simran. Heartbroken, she breaks up with him.
When Arun wakes up, he discovers he is now truly blind due to the poison. He tries to explain himself to Sophie, but she rejects him. Later, he encounters Pavitra and Simran at a train station. Pavitra is suspicious about her father’s death, and Simran threatens Arun, warning him that she’ll kill Pavitra if necessary. Determined to protect Pavitra, Arun tries to escape but is injured in an accident.
He is taken to a doctor, Dr. Swamy, who initially plans to sell Arun’s organs but soon learns that Arun had once been able to see. Together, they devise a plan to collect a ransom from Simran and Bobby. As events unfold, Bobby orders Simran to kill Pavitra and stage it as suicide. Arun intervenes, and in a twist of betrayal, Murali and his sister, who were helping Arun, tie him up and attempt to keep the ransom money for themselves.
Bobby arrives, leading to a violent confrontation where he is accidentally shot and killed. Meanwhile, Simran tries to negotiate with Arun but ultimately attacks him. Dr. Swamy arrives just in time to subdue her. He reveals plans to sell Simran’s organs due to her rare blood type, suggesting her corneas could restore Arun’s sight.
Two years later, Sophie encounters Arun performing in Europe. He shares the story of his past and how he had chosen to turn Simran in rather than keep her to himself. As they reconnect, Arun learns from Pavitra that she has discovered evidence of Simran’s wrongdoing. When he attempts to reason with Simran, she tries to run him over, but an unexpected accident leads to her death.
In the end, as Arun leaves, he uses a walking stick to knock a can into a trash bin, a poignant reminder of Simran’s earlier pledge to donate her organs after her death, while he and Sophie begin to reconcile.
