Chanti, a dedicated and courageous soldier in the Indian Army, returns to his village following the death of his father, Madhav Rao, a retired military officer. Chanti inherits his father's property, including a significant piece of land. He is devoted to his blind sister, Jyothi (Revathi), and his primary goal is to ensure her well-being and get her married.
Chanti arrives in his village to attend his father's funeral. He is saddened by his father's death and is now responsible for his sister, Jyothi. Madhav Rao's property includes a five-acre piece of land that becomes the central point of conflict in the story.
A local, corrupt MLA named Sarvarayudu (Atul Kulkarni) has his eyes on Chanti's land. The land is strategically located between two proposed road sites, and Sarvarayudu wants it for his own selfish reasons, as it is close to his sugar factory. He offers to buy the land from Chanti, but Chanti refuses to sell, as it holds sentimental value; it's where his father was cremated, and he wants to keep it as a memorial.
Chanti arranges for Jyothi's marriage to Raja Ravindra (Raja Ravindra), who is Chanti's friend and colleague from the army. Their happiness is short-lived. Sarvarayudu, enraged by Chanti's refusal to sell the land and seeking revenge, murders Raja Ravindra. This act of violence devastates Chanti and his sister.
As the story progresses, Chanti discovers that Sarvarayudu was also responsible for his father's death. Madhav Rao had opposed Sarvarayudu's illegal activities, which led to the MLA killing him.
The film then focuses on Chanti's quest for vengeance. He decides to fight against the powerful MLA to avenge the deaths of his father and brother-in-law and to protect his family and their land. Chanti, with his military background, is well-equipped to take on Sarvarayudu and his henchmen.
In addition to the main plot, there is a romantic track involving Chanti and Vasantha Lakshmi (Charmme Kaur). She is a village belle who initially clashes with Chanti but eventually falls in love with him. This track provides some lighter moments in the film. Daisy Bopanna plays Anjali, the MLA's sister.
The film builds up to a climax where Chanti confronts Sarvarayudu. Chanti uses his strength, skills, and strategies to defeat the MLA and his gang. He ensures that Sarvarayudu is brought to justice for his crimes. In the end, Chanti protects his father's land, avenges his family, and establishes peace in his village.
