Plot:

The film opens on Krypton, a technologically advanced but dying planet facing imminent destruction due to the over-mining of its core. Scientist Jor-El attempts to warn the ruling council, advocating for the preservation of their race through natural birth rather than artificial genetic engineering. Simultaneously, General Zod, a fierce military leader, stages a coup to seize control and prevent the planet's collapse.
