Summary:
Set in the days leading up to the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D., Pompeii tells the story of Milo, a Celtic slave turned invincible gladiator. He finds himself in a race against time to save his true love, Cassia, the beautiful daughter of a wealthy merchant, who has been unwillingly betrothed to a corrupt Roman senator. As the volcano erupts, burying the city in ash, Milo must fight his way through a collapsing city and a horde of desperate citizens to rescue Cassia and confront his nemesis.

Plot:
In 62 A.D., young Milo witnesses his family's massacre by the ruthless Roman Senator Corvus. Years later, Milo is a formidable gladiator known as "The Celt." He is brought to Pompeii, where he catches the eye of Cassia, the daughter of a wealthy merchant named Severus. Their budding romance is complicated by Corvus, now a powerful senator, who arrives in Pompeii to invest in new projects and demands Cassia's hand in marriage.
As Milo uncovers Corvus's corruption and realizes he was responsible for his family's death, tensions escalate. During a gladiatorial spectacle, Mount Vesuvius begins to erupt, plunging Pompeii into chaos. Milo escapes his chains and, amidst the falling ash and lava, fights to find Cassia, who is trapped with Corvus. He battles Roman soldiers and other gladiators, all while the city crumbles around them. Milo ultimately confronts Corvus, seeking vengeance for his family and freedom for Cassia. In the final moments, as the pyroclastic flow engulfs Pompeii, Milo and Cassia share a final, tragic embrace, accepting their fate together.
