Orphaned flight attendant Aishwarya equates wealth with happiness. She meets passenger Karthik and, assuming his affluence, investigates his life. Karthik, charmed by her, falls in love. However, upon discovering he's a personal trainer in rented accommodation, Aishwarya ends things, unmoved by his pleas that their love transcends money. She even humiliates him during an outing meant to showcase his ability to care for her.
Months later, Aishwarya becomes engaged to wealthy businessman Arjun, with his family's blessing. Karthik attends her engagement party, presenting a gift. The next day, he informs Aishwarya of his supposed contentment and tasks her with finding him a partner, threatening to reveal their past to Arjun if she refuses. Reluctantly, Aishwarya takes on the matchmaking role. After several unsuccessful attempts, she introduces Karthik to Nisha. Karthik and Nisha connect instantly. Aishwarya, however, finds herself enjoying her renewed interactions with Karthik, and they part ways on friendly terms, promising to stay in touch.
As her wedding to Arjun nears, Aishwarya feels increasingly constrained by the rigid lifestyle imposed by his family's wealth. A chance encounter with Karthik at a temple reveals he's returning to his village for his engagement to Nisha, scheduled for the eve of Valentine's Day – the same night as Aishwarya's London wedding. Karthik takes Aishwarya to his village, where she meets his family. Returning home, Aishwarya finds saying goodbye difficult.
On her scheduled departure night, Aishwarya finally acknowledges her unhappiness with Arjun and his controlling family, telling him she wants to leave. Arjun, surprisingly, grants her freedom to live as she chooses, assuring her his family will no longer interfere. Sensing her lingering hesitation, Arjun gently presses her to confide in him. Aishwarya tearfully admits her love for Karthik. She rushes to Karthik and Nisha's engagement party, confessing her feelings, only to be met with a harsh rejection. Karthik departs early with Nisha, leaving Aishwarya heartbroken. As a new song begins, initiating a flash mob, Karthik is revealed at the back. He announces that his relationship with Nisha was a staged plan to make Aishwarya realize her mistake and true love for him. Karthik and Aishwarya finally reunite.
