Summary:

Rowdy Rakshak is a high-octane action thriller that follows Kathir, an elite Special Protection Group (SPG) officer, who is tasked with the monumental responsibility of protecting the Prime Minister of India, Chandrakanth Varma. When a series of sophisticated and deadly assassination attempts begin, Kathir uses his specialized skills to thwart them. However, when the Prime Minister is ultimately killed, Kathir is suspended. He then goes on a rogue mission to expose the mastermind behind the assassination plot, a plan that involves a powerful corporate enemy, a disgraced double agent, and a conspiracy that could threaten the nation's agricultural future.

Detailed Plot (Movie Story):

The film introduces Kathiravan (Suriya), a highly skilled SPG commando who is also a trained military intelligence officer and an organic farmer. He is assigned to protect the Indian Prime Minister, Chandrakanth Varma (Mohanlal), from a looming assassination threat. Kathir, with his exceptional observational skills, successfully identifies and eliminates a potential assassin during the Prime Minister's visit to London.

However, the threat intensifies upon their return to India. A mysterious caller begins to interfere with the SPG's communication systems, leading to a series of attempts on the Prime Minister's life. Despite Kathir's heroic efforts to save him from a bomb, a secondary device planted in the Prime Minister's car detonates, killing him instantly.

Following the Prime Minister's death, his son, Abishek Chandrakanth Varma (Arya), is chosen as the next Prime Minister. Kathir is suspended from his duties for failing to protect the late PM. Fueled by a desire for justice, Kathir begins his own investigation. He discovers that the assassination plot is linked to Ranjith (Chirag Jani), a former SPG agent who was disgraced and imprisoned by the late Prime Minister, and is now seeking revenge.

As the story unfolds, a larger conspiracy is revealed. The mastermind behind the entire plot is Mahadev (Boman Irani), a powerful business tycoon who is illegally setting up mines on agricultural land, causing a severe drought and destroying farmers' crops. Mahadev used Ranjith as a pawn to eliminate the Prime Minister and his son, who were trying to shut down his illegal operations.

The climax of the film is a final, high-stakes showdown. Kathir must race against time to stop Mahadev from unleashing a bio-weapon (a plague of locusts) that would destroy the entire nation's crops. In a final, explosive confrontation, Kathir uses his intelligence to turn the tables on Mahadev and Ranjith, leading to their demise. The film concludes with Kathir, now a hero, having saved the nation.
