Summary:

Plot:

In 1958, Marla Mabrey, a young aspiring actress and devout Methodist from Virginia, is brought to Hollywood by Howard Hughes, who has dozens of other young actresses under contract, housed in bungalows and largely ignored. Marla is assigned a new driver, Frank Forbes, an ambitious young man also under contract to Hughes, who has his own business aspirations. Despite Hughes' strict policy forbidding his drivers from having relationships with his contract actresses, Marla and Frank are immediately drawn to each other.

As they navigate their forbidden attraction, Hughes' increasingly erratic and reclusive behavior complicates their lives and careers. Marla struggles to get an audition, and Frank finds it challenging to advance his business ideas, all while trying to maintain their secret relationship under the watchful eyes of Hughes' vast network of employees.
