Summary:

In a time of myths and magic, the last remaining warrior of a mystical order, Master John Gregory, seeks a prophesied hero: the seventh son of a seventh son. This young man, Tom Ward, possesses unique abilities and is humanity's last hope against an ancient, powerful witch queen who has escaped her imprisonment.

As the malevolent Mother Malkin gathers her followers and unleashes her dark wrath upon the world, Tom must quickly learn the ways of a Spook under Gregory's tutelage. They must race against time to prepare for an epic confrontation that will determine the fate of mankind.

Plot:

Master Gregory, a Falcon Knight and the last Spook, captures the formidable witch Mother Malkin, imprisoning her in a mountain stronghold. Years later, during a rare blood moon, she escapes, vowing revenge. Gregory, now aging and having lost his most recent apprentice, must find a new one before Malkin regains her full power. He travels to a remote village and finds Tom Ward, a farm boy who is the seventh son of a seventh son, making him the only one capable of becoming a Spook's apprentice.

Tom is reluctantly taken under Gregory's wing and begins a perilous journey of training, learning to fight dark creatures, boggarts, and other witches. Along the way, they encounter Alice, a young woman with mysterious ties to the witches, who becomes romantically involved with Tom. As Malkin gathers her army and prepares for war, Gregory and Tom must unite with unexpected allies and confront the witch queen in a climactic battle, with the fate of humanity hanging in the balance.
