Sher Ka Shikaar (Pulimurugan)

Summary:

Pulimurugan is a high-octane action film that tells the story of Murugan, a man who lives in a forest village and has an innate talent for hunting man-eating tigers. He is revered by his villagers as "Pulimurugan" (Tiger-Murugan). His life takes a drastic turn when an errand for his family forces him to leave the forest and step into the urban world of crime, where he becomes the target of a ruthless drug lord. He must now confront a more dangerous predator—humans—to save himself, his family, and ultimately prove his innocence.

Detailed Plot (Movie Story):

The film is set in the fictional village of Puliyoor, a small community nestled in a forest that is under constant threat from man-eating Royal Bengal Tigers. The story begins with a young Murugan witnessing his father's death at the hands of a tiger. Filled with a desire for vengeance, he learns to hunt with the help of his uncle, Balaraman (Lal), and successfully kills the tiger that killed his father. This incident earns him the title of "Pulimurugan."

Years later, an adult Murugan (Mohanlal) is a truck driver and the unofficial protector of his village. He is known for his unmatched skill in tracking and killing rogue tigers that threaten the villagers. Murugan is obsessively protective of his younger brother, Manikuttan (Vinu Mohan), who is studying in the city.

The plot takes a turn when two of Manikuttan's friends from the city, Benny (Noby Marcose) and Shiva (Bala), arrive in the village. They are a part of a drug trafficking operation led by Daddy Girija (Jagapati Babu), a notorious gangster who masquerades as a pharmaceutical company owner. They are in the forest to acquire a special type of cannabis to produce a new drug. They take advantage of Murugan's naiveté and his love for his brother, promising Manikuttan a high-paying job in return for his help.

Murugan, unaware of their true intentions, assists them. During the process, he is forced to kill a tiger to save them, which puts him in trouble with the law. A corrupt forest ranger, R. K. (Kishore), who holds a grudge against Murugan, uses this opportunity to frame him. Murugan is forced to go into hiding, and he and his family, including his wife Myna (Kamalinee Mukherjee), escape to the city, believing they are running from the police.

In the city, Murugan is manipulated by Daddy Girija, who takes advantage of Murugan's hunting skills and his simplicity. However, Murugan soon realizes that he has been used as a pawn in a larger criminal game. He discovers that Daddy Girija is a merciless drug lord who has been using his business as a cover for illegal activities. The plot is further complicated when Murugan is confronted by the police, led by DSP Iyep Zachariah (Siddique), who is also on the trail of Daddy Girija.

The climax of the film is a powerful and emotional confrontation. Murugan, now the prey of both the police and the criminal underworld, uses his primal hunting instincts and fighting skills to take on Daddy Girija and his network. He must clear his name, save his family, and fight a battle far more brutal than any he has fought in the forest. The film concludes with Murugan defeating the villains and returning to his village, where he is finally free to live his life, having defeated the most dangerous predator of all—a man with a wicked heart.
