Son Of Satyamurthy
Summary:
Viraj Anand, the son of a beloved and principled billionaire Satyamurthy, finds his privileged life shattered by his father's sudden death and the revelation of immense debts. Despite losing everything, Viraj chooses to uphold his father's values of honesty and integrity. He embarks on a journey to clear his father's name and debts, a quest that leads him to encounter Devyani, his former fiancée, and a powerful land dispute involving a ruthless politician, creating a conflict between his father's ethics and the harsh realities of the world.
Detailed Plot (Movie Story):
The film opens by introducing Satyamurthy (Prakash Raj), a principled and benevolent billionaire, revered by his family and the public for his honesty and ethical business practices. His son, Viraj Anand (Allu Arjun), lives a lavish life, seemingly unaware of the true value of money but deeply influenced by his father's moral teachings.
However, their lives take a tragic turn when Satyamurthy dies suddenly in a car accident. Following his death, Viraj's family is shocked to discover that Satyamurthy's immense wealth was built on ₹8,000 crore (80 billion) of debt. He had taken numerous loans for various ventures, and upon his death, the creditors seize all his assets, leaving his family with nothing but the burden of his reputation.
Despite being advised by his family and lawyers to declare bankruptcy, Viraj refuses. He upholds his father's belief that "ethics are more important than money" and vows to repay every single rupee, even if it means starting from scratch. He gives away all his family's remaining possessions to clear initial debts and sets out to earn the money honestly. This leads to a profound change in his lifestyle; he takes up a job as a wedding planner.
During his new life, Viraj encounters Devyani (Samantha Ruth Prabhu), a beautiful and quirky woman who was once his fiancée (their engagement was broken off due to his father's death and financial ruin). He still has feelings for her and attempts to reconnect.
The plot thickens when Viraj learns that a major portion of his father's debt is linked to a disputed land deal in a village, which involves a powerful and ruthless politician, Paida Sambasiva Rao (Rao Ramesh), also known as "PS." PS wants to seize the land, which is legally owned by a tribal community led by Veerendra "Vaddi" Reddy (Upendra). Satyamurthy had initially acquired the land for a project but then returned it to the tribals after realizing their rightful ownership. However, he had promised a compensation of ₹300 crore to PS to settle the matter, a promise he couldn't fulfill before his death.
Viraj travels to the village, working as a driver for PS, to understand the situation better and find a way to repay the debt without compromising his father's principles. He discovers that PS is a cunning manipulator who also holds a grudge against Satyamurthy, blaming him for a past incident that led to the death of PS's son.
Viraj also meets and gains the trust of Veerendra Reddy, who is initially suspicious but comes to respect Viraj's integrity. The film then shows Viraj's clever schemes to outsmart PS, gain evidence against him, and protect the tribal land. He faces threats from PS's men and navigates complex legal and personal challenges.
Devyani's character becomes crucial as she eventually understands Viraj's true mission and supports him. The film also features Varam (Adah Sharma), a girl who initially falls for Viraj but later becomes his ally.
The climax involves Viraj exposing PS's true colors and his illegal activities, often using his wit and strategic planning rather than just brute force. He manages to secure justice for the tribal community, clear his father's name, and find a way to honor the remaining debts. The film emphasizes the triumph of ethical values over greed and the importance of integrity, a legacy left by Satyamurthy.
