SOURCE CODE (2011)
Summary:
Captain Colter Stevens, a U.S. Army helicopter pilot, wakes up repeatedly in the body of another man, Sean Fentress, on a commuter train bound for Chicago. He discovers he is part of a top-secret government operation called "Source Code," tasked with reliving the last eight minutes of Fentress's life to identify the bomber who destroyed the train. Each time the train explodes, he is reset to the beginning of the eight-minute loop, learning new clues.
His mission is crucial: find the bomber to prevent a much larger, impending terrorist attack on Chicago. As he repeatedly experiences the same events, he forms a connection with Christina Warren, a fellow passenger, and begins to question the true nature of the Source Code program and his own existence within it. He must navigate the confined space, interrogate passengers, and race against time in a desperate attempt to alter the past and save countless lives.

Plot:
Captain Colter Stevens is thrust into a bewildering scenario where he repeatedly experiences the final eight minutes of Sean Fentress's life aboard a commuter train. Communicating with his handler, Captain Colleen Goodwin, Colter learns he is part of the "Source Code" program, a technology that allows a person to inhabit the "source code" of a deceased individual's last moments. His objective is to identify the bomber responsible for the train's destruction, as the incident is believed to be a precursor to a larger, imminent terrorist attack targeting Chicago.
Each eight-minute cycle ends with the train's explosion, and Colter is reset, retaining memories and knowledge from previous attempts. He uses this to gather clues, interrogate passengers, and try different approaches to identify the culprit. During these loops, he develops an attachment to Christina Warren, a passenger with whom Sean Fentress had a date. As Colter gets closer to identifying the bomber, Derek Frost, he also begins to question Dr. Rutledge, the program's creator, about the ethical implications and the true nature of his own existence within the Source Code, particularly his desire to save the train and Christina, despite being told it's impossible to change the past.
