Super Khiladi 4 (Nenu Local) (2017)
Summary:
Nenu Local is a romantic action-comedy about Babu, a carefree, "local" youth with a mass attitude, who falls instantly in love with a traditional and academically focused girl named Keerthi. After much effort, he manages to win her over. However, the biggest obstacle to their love is Keerthi's extremely protective father (who also happens to be a lecturer who once helped Babu pass his exams). The father has already selected a seemingly perfect groom for Keerthi: a strict police inspector. The rest of the story is the classic conflict of the hero trying to convince the heroine's skeptical father and outsmarting his rival to win his love.
Detailed Plot (Movie Story):
Babu (Nani) is a laid-back, street-smart engineering student who manages to scrape by, with a "mass" attitude and very little interest in academics. After graduating, he sees and instantly falls in love with Keerthi (Keerthy Suresh), a beautiful, cultured, and goal-oriented girl. To get close to her, Babu joins her MBA program, much to the chagrin of Keerthi, who initially finds him irritating.
With his unique brand of humor and persistent efforts, Babu eventually manages to win Keerthi's heart. However, when the time comes to inform her family, a major conflict arises. Keerthi is the apple of her father's eye, and he is a very strict and disciplined man (Sachin Khedekar) who utterly dislikes Babu's local attitude and lack of life goals.
To make matters worse, Keerthi's father has already selected a suitable, highly respected groom for her: Inspector Siddharth Varma (Naveen Chandra). Siddharth is the complete antithesis of Babu—disciplined, successful, and the perfect son-in-law. Keerthi, who values her father's happiness, challenges Babu to convince her father and prove his worth.
The rest of the film revolves around Babu's entertaining and challenging attempts to win over the hostile father-in-law and outmaneuver his police inspector rival. He has to demonstrate not just his love for Keerthi but also that his "local" attitude is a strength, not a weakness, and that he is truly worthy of her hand.
