Plot:

The film opens with a flashback to 1989, showing a young Christian Wolff and his younger brother, Braxton, at a clinic for children with autism. Christian's mother, distraught over his diagnosis and the doctor's suggestion of a specialized facility, clashes with his military father, who believes Christian should learn to cope with the "real world" and pushes him towards intense physical and mental discipline. After his mother leaves them, the father dedicates himself to training his sons in various martial arts and combat skills, preparing them for a harsh world.

Meanwhile, Treasury Department Director Ray King is nearing retirement and is obsessed with finding "The Accountant," a shadowy figure who has been linked to several criminal organizations. King blackmails junior analyst Marybeth Medina, threatening to expose her past criminal record if she doesn't use her exceptional research skills to identify The Accountant. Medina reluctantly agrees, beginning a deep dive into financial records and criminal connections.

Christian realizes he and Dana are now targets. He protects Dana, moving her to a safe location while he continues his investigation.
