Plot:

The film opens in Bogotá, Colombia, at the high-rise office building of Belko Industries. American employees arrive for another day of work, including Mike Milch, an amiable project manager, and his girlfriend, Leandra Florez. Also present is Dany Wilkins, a new hire on her first day, and Barry Norris, a seemingly calm senior executive. The atmosphere is typical office banter until an unusual announcement blares over the intercom, stating that the building has been sealed off with steel plates covering all windows and doors. An anonymous voice, speaking in English, instructs the employees to kill two of their co-workers within the next 30 minutes, or face "consequences."

Initially, everyone assumes it's a sick joke or a team-building exercise gone horribly wrong. Panic begins to set in, but no one takes the killing demand seriously. Mike, Leandra, and other employees try to find an exit or contact outside help, but all communication lines are dead. When the 30-minute deadline expires, four randomly selected employees' heads explode, revealing that each person has a tracking device implanted in their skull, which doubles as an explosive. The gruesome deaths send the office into sheer terror and chaos. The voice returns, reiterating the demand: kill 30 employees within the next two hours, or 60 will be killed.

This second demand causes a stark division among the survivors. Mike, horrified, believes they must resist and find a way out without harming anyone. Barry, a former military man, quickly gathers a faction willing to enforce the demand, including the creepy and opportunistic Wendell Dukes, and Bud Melks, the maintenance man who has access to weapons and the building's layout. Bud helps Barry's group secure the building's armory, which contains a few firearms.

Mike' and Leandra's group, which includes Dany, Marty Espenscheid (who believes the trackers are for mind control), and other pacifists, tries to find an escape route, initially heading to the roof. Meanwhile, Barry's group, armed, begins rounding up employees. The first major confrontation occurs in the cafeteria. Barry's group, led by a increasingly unhinged Wendell, starts executing people. The scene is brutal, as employees are forced to watch their colleagues die, or even participate. Mike and Leandra witness the horrific massacre from a hiding spot. Dany, still new, manages to evade capture and hides in the air ducts, observing the unfolding nightmare.

As the body count rises, Mike realizes that resisting entirely means everyone will die. He devises a desperate plan to disable the trackers by locating the server room and interfering with the signal. Marty, using his technical knowledge, helps pinpoint the location. Mike, Leandra, and a few others attempt to reach the server room, but they are intercepted by Barry's group. In a tense standoff, Mike is forced to kill for the first time, shooting Wendell in self-defense. This act profoundly changes Mike, pushing him closer to the brutal reality of their situation.

They reach the server room, but their attempts to disable the trackers fail. The voice on the intercom mocks their efforts, revealing that the trackers are too sophisticated. The two-hour deadline passes, and another wave of explosions kills 30 more employees, including Marty, whose head explodes while he's trying to help. The remaining survivors are now fewer than 20. The voice then announces the final stage: the person with the most kills will be allowed to live. This final demand pits everyone against each other in a frantic, no-holds-barred free-for-all.

The building descends into utter savagery. Mike, hardened by the previous events, is now determined to survive and stop Barry. He confronts Barry in a brutal, hand-to-hand fight. Leandra, too, is forced to defend herself, killing several attackers. Dany, having witnessed the horrors from her hiding place, emerges and joins Mike and Leandra. In the climax, Mike, Leandra, and Barry are among the last few survivors. Mike, now fully embracing the ruthless logic of the game, strategically eliminates the remaining competitors. He eventually faces Barry, who is also heavily wounded. After a prolonged struggle, Mike ultimately kills Barry, becoming the last person standing.

The voice congratulates Mike, announcing that he is the "winner." The steel plates retract, and the building's doors open. Mike, covered in blood and emotionally shattered, stumbles out into the dawn. He is immediately tranquilized and taken to a large, sterile hangar.
