Plot:
Justine, a college student, is drawn into an activist group led by the charismatic Alejandro, who plans a daring protest against a gas company's deforestation efforts in the Amazon. The group travels to Peru, successfully disrupting the company's operations by live-streaming their protest. However, on their flight back, their plane suffers a catastrophic malfunction and crashes deep in the jungle. The few survivors are quickly discovered and captured by a remote, uncontacted indigenous tribe, the Yacumo, who take them to their village.
The activists soon realize the horrific fate awaiting them as they witness the tribe's cannibalistic rituals, starting with the brutal execution and consumption of one of their own. Held captive in bamboo cages, they endure psychological and physical torture, desperately attempting to communicate and find a way to escape. As their numbers dwindle through gruesome acts of sacrifice and consumption, Justine and the remaining survivors must confront their deepest fears and the true meaning of survival against an unrelenting and savage enemy, while also questioning the effectiveness and morality of their initial mission.
