Summary:

After a family tragedy, a young woman named Clover Catto returns to her dilapidated family farm in rural Somerset, which has been devastated by recent floods. She is forced to confront her estranged father and the overwhelming grief and destruction that has befallen their home.

As Clover prepares for her brother's funeral, she unearths difficult truths about her family, their past, and the circumstances surrounding her brother's death, all while navigating the physical and emotional scars left by both personal loss and environmental disaster.

Plot:

The film opens with Clover Catto returning to her childhood home, a cattle farm in rural Somerset, following the sudden and unexplained death of her younger brother, Harry. She finds the farm in a state of disrepair, still bearing the severe scars of recent devastating floods. Her father, Aubrey, is emotionally distant and overwhelmed, struggling to cope with both the loss of his son and the immense task of repairing the damaged property.

As Clover attempts to organize Harry's funeral and understand the circumstances of his death, she finds herself clashing with her father and navigating the strained dynamics of their relationship. The house is filled with unspoken grief and resentment. Through her efforts to help with the farm's repairs and confront her father about their shared past and Harry's final days, Clover gradually uncovers buried family secrets and begins to come to terms with her own complex feelings of grief, guilt, and belonging, ultimately seeking a path towards healing and understanding amidst the wreckage.
