Plot:

The film opens with Mark Zuckerberg, a Harvard student, being dumped by his girlfriend, Erica Albright. In a fit of anger, he creates "Facemash," a website that allows students to rate the attractiveness of female students, leading to its shutdown but also catching the attention of twins Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss and their business partner Divya Narendra. They propose Mark develop "HarvardConnection," a social network for Harvard students. Mark agrees but secretly begins working on his own idea, "Thefacebook," with funding from his best friend, Eduardo Saverin.

As Thefacebook rapidly expands beyond Harvard, attracting millions of users, Mark's relationship with Eduardo strains. Sean Parker, the co-founder of Napster, enters the picture, advising Mark on turning Thefacebook into a commercial venture and securing venture capital funding, much to Eduardo's distrust. Parker's influence leads to Eduardo's shares being diluted and his eventual ousting from the company. The narrative is framed by two parallel lawsuits: one brought by the Winklevoss twins and Narendra for intellectual property theft, and another by Eduardo Saverin for breach of contract and fraud, revealing the differing accounts and emotional fallout of Facebook's creation.
