Summary:

In a groundbreaking fusion of live-action and computer animation, Tron tells the story of Kevin Flynn, a brilliant but rebellious computer programmer and video arcade owner. Flynn attempts to hack into the mainframe of the monolithic ENCOM corporation to retrieve proof that his video game designs were stolen by a senior executive, only to find himself digitized and transported into the virtual world of the computer itself.

Trapped within this digital realm, Flynn discovers a totalitarian system governed by the malevolent Master Control Program (MCP), which oppresses the sentient programs living within. He must team up with a heroic security program named Tron and other allied programs to fight for their freedom, expose the MCP's tyranny, and find a way back to the real world before it's too late. Plot:

Kevin Flynn, a former ENCOM employee, now runs an arcade. He believes his video game designs were stolen by senior executive Ed Dillinger and attempts to hack into ENCOM's mainframe to find evidence. Dillinger's creation, the powerful Master Control Program (MCP), detects Flynn's intrusion. Meanwhile, ENCOM employees Alan Bradley and Lora Baines are working on "Tron," a security program designed to monitor the MCP, and a digitizing laser, respectively.

As Flynn makes another attempt to hack the system, the MCP uses Lora's experimental digitizing laser to transport Flynn into its digital world. Inside, Flynn is forced to participate in deadly gladiatorial games, including disc wars and light cycle races, alongside other programs. He encounters Tron, a program created by Alan, and Yori, a program created by Lora. Recognizing Flynn as a "User" with unique abilities, they team up to journey to the MCP's core, destroy it, and restore freedom to the digital world, hoping to also return Flynn to his own reality.
