Plot:
Detective Tadek, a Polish police officer, is assigned to the murder of Daniel Starak, a former advertising executive found dead in a river. The investigation initially stalls until Tadek reads a novel by author Krystov Kozlow, which describes a murder eerily similar to Starak's. Convinced that Kozlow either committed the crime or knows who did, Tadek begins an intense and relentless pursuit of the author, facing skepticism from his superiors and colleagues.
Tadek's investigation leads him into the dark and sexually charged life of Kozlow and his girlfriend, Kasia, who works at a local brothel. As Tadek presses Kozlow, the author vehemently denies involvement, suggesting the similarities are merely a coincidence or a result of his research. Tadek uncovers evidence of a sex club and a past scandal involving Starak, gradually exposing a larger conspiracy and a network of powerful individuals. The film culminates in a tense confrontation where the true nature of the crime and the killer's identity are revealed, leaving Tadek grappling with the moral ambiguities of the justice system.
