Summary:
The Vanguard, a covert international security company led by Tang Huanting, is tasked with protecting Qin Guoli, a wealthy accountant targeted by a ruthless mercenary organization, the Arctic Wolves, and a terrorist group, the Brothers of Vengeance. As Qin holds secrets to a vast fortune belonging to a deceased terrorist leader, Tang and his elite team embark on a globe-trotting mission across continents, employing high-tech gadgets and incredible combat skills to rescue Qin and his daughter Fareeda, thwarting a global conspiracy involving gold, weapons, and revenge.
Plot (Movie Story):
The film begins with a high-stakes mission in London, where Qin Guoli (Jackson Lou), a Chinese accountant based in Great Britain, is targeted by the "Brothers of Vengeance," a powerful terrorist organization led by the ruthless Omar (Eyad Hourani). Qin was forced to finance their projects by Omar's father, Maasym, who was later killed in a military operation after Qin tipped off Scotland Yard. Now, Omar wants his father's vast fortune, whose whereabouts are known only to Qin.
The security company Vanguard, an elite international private protection agency led by the seasoned Tang Huanting (Jackie Chan), is assigned to protect Qin. Vanguard agents Lei Zhenyu (Yang Yang), Zhang Kaixuan (Ai Lun), and Miya (Miya Muqi) quickly respond as the Arctic Wolves, a mercenary group hired by Omar, attempt to kidnap Qin and his new wife during London Chinatown's Chinese New Year festival. A thrilling chase and combat sequence ensue through a restaurant and the streets, showcasing Vanguard's formidable skills.
After successfully rescuing Qin, he pleads with Tang to also protect his daughter, Fareeda (Xu Ruohan), a wildlife preservation activist currently in Africa, fearing Omar will use her as leverage. Tang, Lei, and Miya travel to Africa and locate Fareeda, who is involved in conservation efforts. However, they soon find themselves battling not only the Arctic Wolves but also a local poaching gang hired by Omar as additional muscle. During a chaotic confrontation, Lei and Fareeda are separated from the group and forced to hide in the nearby jungle, while Tang and Miya track them.
The action then shifts to a furious river chase involving an amphibious car and jet skis, where Tang and Miya eventually rejoin Lei and Fareeda. Despite their efforts, Lei and Fareeda are captured by Broto (Brahim Achabbakhe), the leader of the Arctic Wolves. Broto proposes a trade: his captives for Qin. Qin, distraught, immediately agrees to the exchange.
Tang, determined to rescue the hostages, rallies his Vanguard agents. They infiltrate Omar's heavily guarded fortress in the fictional Middle Eastern city of Jiadebala (filmed in various locations). With some local help and clever tactics, the Vanguard operatives prepare for the exchange. However, Omar and Broto anticipate an intervention, and the operation quickly escalates into a massive gun battle. When Vanguard finds themselves surrounded and overwhelmed, Qin bravely gives himself up to allow the agents to escape.
The Vanguard team – Tang, Lei, Zhang, Miya, and Fareeda – realize the true nature of Omar's plan: he intends to use Maasym's fortune, which is stored in gold-plated cars in Dubai, to fund a massive arms deal, including the acquisition of a powerful missile attack drone. They travel to Dubai and cooperate with the local police, tracking two Arctic Wolves mercenaries who are facilitating the deal.
The climax unfolds in Dubai. Omar, Broto, and Qin meet with an arms dealer named Josef at a second-hand car dealership where the fortune has been converted into pure gold cars.In return, Josef provides Omar with the control system for a missile attack drone, intended to target a U.S. aircraft carrier. The Dubai police launch a strike, but Omar's party manages to activate the drone and escape in the gold cars.
The Vanguard agents pursue them in a high-octane car chase that culminates inside a massive shopping mall. Meanwhile, forewarned by the Dubai police, U.S. forces intercept and destroy the missile drone. In the mall, Omar and Broto are finally overpowered and arrested.
The film concludes with the Vanguard team celebrating Chinese New Year in Dubai, having successfully neutralized a major global threat and ensured justice.
