WHITE HOUSE DOWN (2013)

Summary:

While on a tour of the White House with his daughter, a Capitol Police officer, John Cale, finds himself in a desperate situation when a paramilitary group launches a violent attack and takes over the building. With the President held hostage and the nation's capital in chaos, Cale, whose Secret Service application was just rejected, becomes the only hope to protect his daughter, President James Sawyer, and prevent a catastrophic global incident.

As the White House falls under siege, Cale must use his combat skills and knowledge of the building to navigate the perilous environment, evade the well-trained terrorists, and protect the President, all while trying to locate his estranged daughter who is also trapped inside.

Plot:

John Cale, a U.S. Capitol Police officer and Afghanistan veteran, hopes to join the Secret Service to protect President James Sawyer, but is rejected after an interview. To appease his politically-minded daughter, Emily, Cale takes her on a White House tour. During their visit, a coordinated attack by a heavily armed paramilitary group, led by former Delta Force operative Stenz, seizes control of the White House, taking staff and visitors hostage.

Separated from Emily, Cale manages to evade capture and finds President Sawyer. He becomes the President's unlikely protector, fighting through the besieged building while uncovering the true mastermind behind the attack: Martin Walker, the disgraced Head of the Presidential Secret Service detail, seeking revenge for a failed military operation that led to his son's death. Cale must not only protect the President from Walker's elaborate plot to launch nuclear missiles but also locate and rescue Emily, who has become an unexpected asset to the terrorists due to her knowledge of the White House's hidden passages.
